ALEXANDRA BARTH, FIRST-YEAR APPRENTICE TOOLMAKER

Having already completed an apprenticeship as a butcher, Alexandra would like to pursue her keen interest in a skilled trade and has therefore decided to train again as a toolmaker – even though her parents saw her more as a hairdresser. Premises would have been available for this at home – in the end, Alexandra’s parents are happy with the decision and rejoice with her. She shares her passion for the craft with many friends from her circle of friends. By searching on the internet for this profession as well as by the exchange in her circle of friends Alexandra came across DESMA as a training company via an advertisement on the internet, applied and was hired.

After the first weeks as an apprentice Alexandra can say that she liked filing very much from the beginning and the final result is very interesting for her. It’s nice to see what can be created thanks to painstaking work.

In her free time she likes to go swimming or climbing. In addition to her more physical activities, she also likes to relax and read a book or two on the weekends – when she is not meeting new people in the nearby village pub ‘Ritter’. Alexandra is also very interested in the culture in Japan and if she could take a year off, she would make her dream come true and live in Japan for a year to get to know the culture and the language better.

We wish Alexandra continued success for her training as a tool mechanic with us and hope that she will not only enjoy filing in the coming weeks and months.
