The training mainly takes place at DESMA in Fridingen and at the vocational school. During the training, the trainees learn techniques of manufacturing mechanical components as well as assembling and wiring mechanical, electromechanical and electrical components. You will also learn how to lay and connect power engineering lines and install operating equipment. You will also learn about measuring methods and variables and how to check electrical components. In the last two years of training, the focus is on switching control devices. Your tasks will include assembling and wiring modules and devices for switching and distribution technology, assembling and installing equipment and systems for power distribution and control technology, as well as testing the function of programmable logic controllers and the individual, overall, safety and protective functions, and commissioning and maintaining equipment and systems for power technology.
