Tuesday is RUBBER DAY: Endproduct ‘Respiratory’

Did you know that respirators are also produced on DESMA machines?

Basically, a respiratory protection mask or paint mask serves to protect the wearer from harmful environmental influences. Depending on which filter is screwed to the mask, different hazardous and toxic substances can be warded off. The wearer should breathe in air that is as clean and harmless as possible. They are used primarily by firefighters, in mining, for disaster control, or to protect against chemical vapors.
The masks themselves are usually made of BIIR. BIIR is Bromobutyl Rubber / Brominated Isobutylene Isoprene Rubber.

Production usually takes place on a 968.250 or 968.400 ZO BENCHMARK. The molds are usually very complex and equipped with pneumatically controlled sliders and ejectors. A consistently high article quality can be ensured and monitored via a cavity pressure sensor. In addition, a QR code can be applied by laser, for example, via which the manufacturing date/location, parameters, elastomer compound, etc. can be tracked to match each individual article.
