Tuesday is RUBBER DAY – End product: Snap-in valve for car tires

Did you know that so-called “snap-in valves” are installed in each of your tires on cars or trucks? And did you also know that these valves are replaced every time the tires are changed?
So you can imagine the large number of ‘snap-in valves’ needed – according to Statista, the global market volume for original and replacement tires in 2020 was around 1,371 million units.

These valves usually consist of a blend of EPDM and natural rubber and are produced e.g. on our DESMA BECHMARK machines with 4,000 or 5,600 kN clamping force, mostly with exchangeable platen shifting systems or also fully automated.
